Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach

Work has begun on the bike/walk path from the county line in front of Kenny D's to about Holiday Road in Walton county on Scenic Gulf Drive. The path was repaved and moved in away from the road for safety reasons. Sod has been placed between the new path and the road. A boardwalk is supposed to be built across the street on the beach side. The public parking lot at Pompano Joes is being reconstructed too. This time the work includes reinforcements with a sea wall and concrete pillars in the sand. Hopefully, all will be completed for Spring Break in March '09!

Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach

The beautification project by Walton County along Scenic Gulf Drive has begun and is taking shape! The bike path/side walk has been moved in away from the street and now extends from the county line in front of Kenny D's to about Holiday Rd. Sod is being put down in the area between the sidewalk and road. The public parking lot near Pompano Joes is also being constructed once again! This time, I think they are doing it right! Sea Walls have been installed and what looks to be concrete posts are being driven into the sand for support. It should look good when completed and hopefully last much longer!
