Although we have been to Destin many times, this was our first stay in Emerald Shores. I can tell you that we were very pleased with the accomodations, the amenities, the access to the beach and the proximity to local shopping and restaurants. The floor plan was open downstairs so all of our family was able to spend time together whether we were in the kitchen, living room or dining room. The furniture in the living room looked to be brand new as were some of the appliances in the kitchen. We rented the property from Crystal Waters Realty and the property managers called twice during the week to make sure we were getting along okay. The house is about a one minute walk to the large pool in the center of the development and about a five minute walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the private cabana with restrooms on site. There was parking in the driveway for each of the three cars that we brought. We tried to limit our trips to the food store but there was a Winn- Dixie about five minutes from the house. We walked to two local restaurants on Old 98 during our visit. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation and plan to go back next year!
